Setting Up Email on a Blackberry

Set up your email address on your Blackberry to send and receive emails.

You can set up to 10 different accounts.

For all the settings of your Mails customers, Monaco Telecom recommends to use the IMAP protocol with secure SSL / TLS on port 993 for the reception of your e-mails and the SSL protocol Secure with password in TLS / SSL port 587 for sending your e-mail.

General settings: IMAP

Password security only:

Incoming Server "Imap.monaco.mc" port 143

Outgoing Server "smtp.monaco.mc" port 25

Secure by password and SSL / TLS:

Incoming Server "Imap.monaco.mc" SSL / TLS port 993

Outgoing server "smtp.monaco.mc" SSL / TLS port 587

 

For the Professional. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ">This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

How to set up an email address on a Blackberry

1. On the Home screen, tap All to access your telephone menu.  
2. Select Setup.
3. Select Email Accounts.  
4. Select Internet Mail Account.

5. Select the email address you want to set up.
6. In the following window, enter your email address and your password, then select Continue.
7. A message confirms your new email address configuration.

Press Back several times to access the Home screen.
- You will receive a message confirming the configuration of your email address.
- You should be able to receive your messages within 20 minutes.

What should I do if my email address fails to operate?
If your telephone does not automatically set up your email address, enter your electronic messaging server settings manually (IMAP and SMTP servers).

IMAP incoming server:

> Host name: mail.monaco.mc

> User name: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

> Password: Your password

SMTP outgoing server:

> Host name: smtp.monaco.mc

> Enter your user name and password.

How to set up another email address on your smartphone

1. On the Home screen, tap All.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select Email Accounts.  
4. Select Internet Mail Account.

5. Select Set up another email account.
6. The configuration page of the messaging account opens.

What are the keyboard shortcuts to manage emails?

N : Access unread emails  
C : Write a new email  
R : Respond to an email 
O : Respond to all contacts in copy 
P : Display previous email 
T : Display top of screen  
B : Display bottom of screen 
A : Alternate the display of the contact address or his/her name 
Alt-E : Only display incoming messages (Back key: full list) 
Alt-S : Only display outgoing messages (Back key: full list) 
Alt, then with the tactile keyboard, scroll down/up to the messages to delete, then tap Del to delete several messages.
