Universal Television Service

Changes to the Universal Television Service

Since April 2016, viewers in the Principality have been able to access over 80 French-language and international TV channels, including many in HD, thanks to the Universal Television Service.

Since 25 March 2019, this service, previously available in addition to the 18-channel (standard definition) Universal Television Service, is now the only free-to-air TV service available in the Principality, ensuring all viewers in Monaco have the same television experience.

How to receive the Universal Television Service

You will need to check your TV set-up to ensure your device is compatible and able to receive the free-to-air channels. If it is not, you will see a message on your TV.

What channels are available in the Universal Television Service ?

Between 14 January and 25 March 2019, a number of channels gradually stopped broadcasting on the old network. You must check the compatibility of your TV equipment to continue receiving the channels for free. In case of incompatibility with the service, a message will be displayed on your TV.
